Interest in wine was a family affair that began at an early age, from an uncle who opened the first French cooperage in the Napa Valley, to his father, who liked to experiment with homegrown winemaking techniques. Nile’s early interest in fermented beverages turned toward beer making, which led him to enroll in the Brewing Science program at the University of California, Davis.
