Nile Zacherle ... he realized that winemaking was a process that would allow him to marry what he loved about beer making with the truly creative process found in winegrowing. Nile earned a B.S. in Fermentation Science with a focus in Enology, Viticulture and Brewing Sciences. “I realized that winegrowing offered endless possibilities in terms of creativity and bridging science with artistry,” says Nile. “I love the enormity of it and the challenge of crafting wines that both represent their traditional roots, but also exhibit fresh representations of those roots.” When he’s not making wine, Nile’s favorite pastimes include brewing beer at home, biking local trails and traveling. Nile’s recent reads include The Battle for Wine and Love: Or How I Saved the World From Parkerization, The Wines of Burgundy, and World Wine Market. While reading, Nile prefers the sounds of bluegrass and jazz – current favorites include Charlie Hunter, John Butler Trio and Devil Makes Three.
